Kill annoying Postgresql NOTICE messages when running Rake

If you use Postgresql for your Rails development, and if you reset your local database a lot, then you may appreciate this tip.

  1. Edit your postgresql.conf file

  2. Un-comment the client_min_messages setting

  3. Lower it from notice to warning

  4. Restart postgresql

No more annoying NOTICE messages.
